Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Liam Brooks ("we", "us"), the publisher of the Cotera Hub mobile app ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

Your use of the App is also covered by the Privacy Policy and by the terms of the app store you downloaded it from.

The app & your license

Cotera Hub lets you build training programs, log sets and reps, and view training volume by muscle group over time. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.

The App's design, code, name, and branding belong to the publisher. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the App except where the law expressly allows it.

Training & health

The App is a record-keeping tool. It doesn't give medical advice and doesn't replace a qualified coach, physician, or physiotherapist. Volume totals and trends describe what you logged. They aren't prescriptions.

Red card: safetyLifting weights carries a risk of injury. Check with a medical professional before starting or changing a program, use proper technique and spotters, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort. You train at your own risk.

Your data

Programs, sessions, and logs you create are yours. They're stored locally on your device, and we don't host or back them up. You're responsible for keeping your device and any system backups (such as iCloud or Google backup) in order.

Yellow card: back it upIf you delete the App, reset your phone, or lose your device without a backup, your training history may be gone for good. We can't recover data we never had.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  1. use the App in a way that breaks any law;
  2. try to interfere with, tamper with, or bypass the App's normal operation or security;
  3. remove copyright or ownership notices; or
  4. pass off the App, or a modified version of it, as your own.

Purchases & app stores

If the App or any feature in it is offered for a price, payment, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. We don't process payments or see your payment details. Prices and available features may change over time.

Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and have no obligation to provide support for the App. Where Apple's standard terms require it, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.

Disclaimers & liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that its calculations will suit your training goals.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for injury, lost data, or lost progress arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 10, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Ending, changes & law

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it. If you breach these Terms, your license ends automatically. We may update the App or these Terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date on this page, and continuing to use the App means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply where the publisher is based, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
